Sylimarol 35mg is a traditional herbal medicinal product for use in specific indications resulting only from its long-term use.
The active substance of the preparation is a dry extract of milk thistle husk, which supports, regenerates and protects the liver.
Sylimarol is intended for adults and children over 12 years of age.
Symptoms
- It is used as an auxiliary in convalescence after toxic and metabolic liver damage caused, among others, by toxic factors (e.g. alcohol, pesticides) and indigestion (flatulence, belching) after eating hard-to-digest food.
- Supportive in ailments after acute and chronic liver diseases.
Active substance: Silybi mariani fructus
Composition
The active substances of the drug are: 50 mg of dry extract of milk thistle husk (Silybi mariani fructus extractum siccum DER 20-34: 1. Extractant – methanol 90%).
The excipient added to the extract: sodium benzoate. In addition, the drug contains excipients: glucose, potato starch, sucrose, talc, magnesium stearate, acacia gum, a mixture of white beeswax and carnauba wax (Capol 1295), indigotine E132 and quinoline yellow E104.
Dosage of Sylimarol 35mg
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 2 tablets 3 times a day after meals, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
- The drug requires systematic use for about 2-4 weeks.
- If the symptoms worsen or do not improve, contact your doctor who may extend the treatment to e.g. 6 months.
- Avoid substances that are harmful to the liver during treatment.
- It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.

Contraindications
Do not use the drug if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or if you are hypersensitive to Compositae / Asteraceae plants.

Warnings
If you develop symptoms of jaundice (yellowing of the skin, yellowing of the eyes), please consult your doctor. The drug is not intended for the treatment of acute liver poisoning.
In the event of an intolerance to certain sugars, consult a physician before taking this product.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Due to the lack of safety data, the preparation should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Interactions with other drugs
Inform your doctor about all medications you have recently taken, even those sold without a prescription.
So far, no interactions with other drugs have been reported.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Sylimarol 35mg can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
During use, gastrointestinal disorders may occur.
Occasionally a mild laxative effect is observed.
