Sirupus Tussipini D 125g
Herbal syrup Sirupus Tussipini D is traditionally used as an expectorant in catarrh of the upper respiratory tract.
Intended Use
Incidentally in inflammation of the upper respiratory tract with cough and thick secretions.
Active substance: Calcium lactas, Foenicula tinctura, Pini turiones
Composition
100 g of syrup contains:
- liquid extract from pine shoots ( Pini turiones extractum fluidum ) (1:4) 6.60 g,
- extractant: ethanol 85% V/V,
- fennel fruit tincture ( Foeniculi tinctura ) (3:7.4-7.8) 1.00 g,
- extractant: ethanol 70% V/V,
- calcium lactate pentahydrate ( Calcii lactas pentahydricus ) 1.00 g,
- excipients:
- sucrose, phosphoric acid 85%, purified water.
The drug contains no more than 5.6% V/V ethanol. 5 ml of syrup contains 3 g of sucrose.
Dosage
Adults: 15 ml of syrup 3 to 4 times a day.
Children over 6 years: 5 ml of syrup 3 times a day.
In children from 4 to 6 years of age, use only after consulting a doctor. The doctor determines the dosage.
Do not give to children under 4 years of age due to the content of ethanol and the lack of sufficient data on the safety of use.
A measuring cup is included in the package.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug or to other plants of the celery family (Apiaceae).
- Do not use in bronchial asthma, acute respiratory failure.
- Do not use in patients with liver disease.

The drug contains 5.6% V/V ethanol.
The dose for children from 6 years (5 ml) contains 0.22 g of ethanol, which is equivalent to 5.6 ml of beer and 2.3 ml of wine.
The adult dose (15 ml) contains 0.66 g of ethanol, which is equivalent to 16.8 ml of beer and 6.9 ml of wine.
Harmful drug for people with alcoholism.
The presence of ethanol should be taken into account when used in children and high-risk individuals such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy, as well as pregnant and lactating women.
Patients with rare hereditary disorders of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take the drug due to the presence of sucrose as an excipient. 5 ml of syrup contains 3 g of sucrose.
This should be taken into account in diabetic patients.
