Raphacholin Forte
Raphacholin Forte is a drug containing a composition of dehydrocholic acid with the addition of black radish extract, increasing the volume of bile secreted (choleretic) and accelerating its transport to the duodenum. The increased amount of bile stimulates the work of the large intestine, thanks to which the product has a mild laxative effect.
Indications
The drug is used in the case of insufficient bile secretion by the liver and indigestion manifested by flatulence, abdominal pain, belching, nausea, constipation and as a mild laxative.
Active substance: Acidum dehydrocholicum
Composition
One coated tablet contains:
Active substance: dehydrocholic acid 250 mg
Excipients: dry extract of black radish root (10-15: 1) [native extract (20-30: 1) 50%, maltodextrin 50%, extractant-water], peppermint oil, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch, potato starch, povidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, talc, sodium lauryl sulfate, activated carbon, Aqua Polish black coating.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Use the drug orally.
In case of indigestion: adults 1 tablet after a meal, if necessary, the dose may be increased to 3 tablets a day.
In case of constipation: adults 2 tablets once.
Laxative effect is expected up to 6 hours.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
The drug should not be used in children and adolescents.
Contraindications
Do not use Raphacholin Forte
- if you are allergic to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- if present: acute and chronic liver diseases, acute inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, obstruction of the bile and gastrointestinal tract.

Warnings
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Raphacholin Forte.
In the case of cholelithiasis or ductal stones, use the drug only after consulting a doctor. In constipation, do not use the drug without consulting a doctor for more than a week.
The daily dose of 6 tablets (corresponding to 1.5 g of dehydrocholic acid) should not be exceeded.
Pregnancy and lactation
Do not use the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The effect on fertility is unknown.
Driving vehicles
Raphacholin Forte does not affect the ability to drive and use machines. The drug contains peppermint essential oil as an excipient, which may cause allergic reactions.
Interactions with other drugs
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the drugs you are taking or have recently taken, and about all the drugs you plan to use. So far, no interactions with other drugs have been described.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
During the use of Raphacholin Forte, the following may occur:
Gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal complaints) – frequency unknown
Immune system disorders (allergic reactions) – frequency unknown
