Aflofarm Ichthyol Ointment, Masc Ichtiolowa 20g

Aflofarm Ichthyol Ointment is used in the case of eczema, acne or boils. It has an astringent and slightly antibacterial effect.

Composition

Active substance: Ichthamol (Ichthammolum)

100 g of ointment contains 10 g of ichthamol.

Dosage of Aflofarm Ichthyol Ointment

Usually accepted method of application:

Children under 12 – only after consulting a doctor.
Adults and adolescents – apply the ointment to the affected areas 1 or 2 times a day.

Symptoms

Ichthyol ointment is used in:

• eczema
• furunculosis,
• acne as a bacteriostatic agent and facilitating the escape of pus.

Contraindications

When not to use Ichthyol ointment?

• in hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the preparation,
• on open wounds.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

When using the ointment, skin irritation may occur.

The drug contains lanolin, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
